【Events at Itoya X Anya Hindmarch - LONDON】 Visit my special Japanese Calligraphy Workshops in October!
Itoya of Giza, Tokyo Japan is at the Village Hall of Anya Hindmarch in London! A unique collaboration with the legendary Japanese speciality stationers, Itoya, founded in 1904. This is the first time the Village Hall hosts an external store, and the first time the cult, family-owned Tokyo stationery shop has come to the UK, bringing its beautiful product selection. The concept fuses Anya Hindmarch’s well-known passion for organisation with Itoya’s devotion to creativity and inspiration.

Body-Art Project Since 2001 in London, I've started this Body-Art Project and collaborated with various photographers and video makers and story models. In the last 12 years I have focused on telling the personal hidden stories, individual poetry by calligraphing on the skin of the story model. There are many stories that cannot be told in words but in calligraphed poetry. I called the series 'Can you hear me?!' By calligraphing the poetry on their skin, I realised that the process of calligraphing the words with mindful energy could also help to heal their disconnection, wounds, traumas and find a unified way between body and soul. It is a very intense process, but I love the positive healing energy. I tell the story with my poetry and calligraphy on the skin. This is the story of Alba with Karin’s eyes.

【KIMIKO's Pearl】
An artistic collaboration with Bravo Niagara, Canada. For a new multidisciplinary production - ''Kimiko's Pearl" Featuring original music, sound design, ballet, and visual art. Kimiko’s Pearl unfurls the bittersweet story of one family – spanning four generations – set against the turbulent backdrop of World War II. It is told through the eyes of Kimiko, a 15-year-old Toronto girl who discovers an old family trunk containing her great-grandfather’s diary and other precious keepsakes. As Kimiko reads the diary, her family’s tale comes to life before her eyes. Kimiko’s story reflects the tragedies and triumphs of Japanese Canadian families before, during and after World War II. Their harsh experiences attest to heroism and hope in the face of racism. https://www.kimikospearl.com
